This Privacy Policy describes how Pressing Insights LLC (“Pressing Insights,” “PI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with the website located at pressinginsights.com (the “Website”) and the related services, features, and applications (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Pressing Insights LLC is a Colorado limited liability company. Our principal place of business is 1500 N Grant St Ste N, Denver, CO 80203. You can reach us at privacy@pressinginsights.com.
2.1 Information You Provide. We collect information you provide directly when you:
2.2 Information Collected Automatically. When you use the Service, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
2.3 Cookies and Local Storage. We use session cookies and browser local storage to maintain your authenticated session and remember your in-session preferences (such as selected condition grade and minimum return threshold). These are first-party, functional cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2.4 Photographs and Images. If you upload a photograph of album artwork for analysis, the image data is transmitted to our AI provider for analysis and is not retained by us after the analysis session concludes.
We use the information we collect to:
4.1 How AI Is Used. The Service transmits your inputs — including search queries, barcodes, and album cover photographs — to a third-party AI service provider to generate analysis and scoring Outputs. The identity of our AI provider(s) may change over time as we evaluate and select providers that meet our standards.
4.2 No AI Training Commitment. We do not permit our AI provider(s) to use your inputs or the Outputs generated for you to train, fine-tune, or improve their general AI models. We maintain data processing agreements with our AI provider(s) that prohibit such use.
4.3 AI Provider Data Practices. Your inputs are subject to the privacy and data handling practices of our AI provider(s). We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the AI providers we use. We will update this Section if our primary AI provider changes.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information as follows:
We do not share your information with third-party advertisers.
We use first-party cookies and browser local storage for functional purposes: to keep you logged in during your session and to remember in-session preferences. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies, behavioral advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that track you across other websites.
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies will prevent the Service from functioning correctly, as session authentication depends on cookie-based session tokens.
We may use server-side analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns — for example, which features are most used or which search queries are most common. This analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. We do not currently use third-party behavioral analytics services (such as Google Analytics) that place tracking cookies on your device.
We may send you transactional and service-related emails to the email address associated with your account, including watchlist price alerts, renewal reminders, price change notices, and important service announcements. These communications are necessary for the performance of our contract with you and may not be opted out of while your account is active, except where required by applicable law.
We may also send you optional promotional communications about new features, subscription offers, or other PI news. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any promotional email or by contacting us at privacy@pressinginsights.com.
We do not currently send marketing SMS or text messages. If we offer SMS communications in the future, we will obtain your prior express written consent, in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and applicable regulations. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter, as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Specifically:
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@pressinginsights.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). These include the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share; the right to delete your personal information; the right to correct inaccurate personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising); the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by CPRA beyond what is necessary to provide the Service); and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
To exercise your California rights, contact us at privacy@pressinginsights.com with the subject line “California Privacy Rights Request.” We will respond within 45 days as required by applicable law.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 18, we will promptly delete it. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us at privacy@pressinginsights.com.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), access controls, and secure hosting infrastructure. However, no security measure is perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
The Service is operated in the United States and is intended for users in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We do not currently offer the Service to users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Canada, and we do not make representations about compliance with GDPR, UK GDPR, or Canadian privacy law.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services, including Discogs and other marketplaces referenced in Outputs. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to information you provide to third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you use.
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. We do not currently respond to DNT signals because there is no industry-standard interpretation of what DNT requires. We do not engage in cross-site behavioral tracking, regardless of DNT status.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Website and, where required by applicable law, by email. The updated policy will include the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you must stop using the Service.
If you have questions, concerns, or requests related to this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us:
