How scores work
📈 Flip Score
Rates the immediate resale opportunity at the given acquisition price. Considers want/have ratio, price gap to market, listing liquidity, and demand signals from multiple external sources.
85–100STRONG BUYExceptional margin, high confidence70–84BUYSolid flip, clear margin advantage50–69WATCHPositive margin, some uncertainty0–49PASSWeak or negative margin
⏳ Hold Score
Rates long-term appreciation potential over 12–36 months. Considers artist trajectory, catalog scarcity trends, pressing rarity, and whether demand is growing or saturating.
A record can score differently for flip vs. hold — a high hold score on a low flip score means “don’t buy at this price today, but it will be worth more in two years.”
Min Return preference
Sets your personal return threshold. At 1.5× a $30 buy needs a $45 resale to score BUY. At 3× it needs $90. The scores and verdicts adjust to reflect your stated criteria.
